One of Sevierville's most popular lodging destinations has recently unveiled a major makeover, and it's looking better than ever. The Lodge at Five Oaks, located directly across the Parkway from the Tanger Outlet Center, has recently undergone an extensive renovation process and is making its return debut just in time for the October peak season.
The aesthetics of the facility tie into the area's natural surroundings by letting guests immerse themselves in a farmhouse-style environment, with appointments like real hardwood floors and rustic furnishings in each guest room. However, luxury and convenience are also part of the presentation thanks to touches like upscale bed linens, large flat-screen televisions and modern walk-in showers.
On-site amenities abound as well. Guests can spoil themselves with features like multiple charging stations for devices, wireless Internet throughout the property and a poolside retreat complete with outdoor games and fire pits – perfect for the fall evenings that are settling into the area.
One of the great benefits of staying at The Lodge at Five Oaks is its convenient location. It's easy to access for guests traveling to the Smokies via Interstate 40, and being located across from the Tanger Outlet Center means guests can easily walk to one of the most popular shopping destinations in the entire region. Also within walking distance are local attractions like Five Oaks Adventure Park, where guests can experience the ultimate in outdoor recreation with activities like horseback riding and ziplining.
For those who may want to venture out a little farther, Pigeon Forge is just minutes away, and beyond that, Gatlinburg and Great Smoky Mountains National Park are less than a half-hour's drive. If you've historically shied away from visiting downtown Gatlinburg because of parking concerns, you may be interested to know that parking in Gatlinburg and getting around town are easier than ever thanks to an abundance of conveniently located facilities.
You'll find open lots and parking garages throughout downtown Gatlinburg that are reasonably priced and allow you to make one parking decision for the day and then easily access all the places you want to go by foot or by trolley. It takes the hassle out of driving around town and hoping to find an open spot at each destination you're visiting.
About Leif Palmer
Leif Palmer loves residing in Gatlinburg. He is an avid outdoorsman: rowing for exercise on the lake, trail hiking, and free climbing rocks in the mountains. He indulges his arty side by periodically beating up pieces of marble by sculpting. He is always frustrated by his inability to sink long putts, and hates his curly hair (but his wife loves it). Leif has been known to muster enough courage to change a diaper, and hopes his son will become a chip off the old block.
